Open C Guitar Tuning
Open C Guitar String Notes
- 1 string - E4 (the thinnest)
- 2 string - C4
- 3 string - G3
- 4 string - C3
- 5 string - G2
- 6 string - C2
How to tune Open C:
- First, you should tune the guitar as usual.
- Do not touch the first string (E).
- The second string is lifted by a semitone (B -> C).
- The third string is left on the note G.
- The fourth is tuned to a tone lower than it was (D -> C).
- The fifth string is lowered to the tone (A -> G).
- Lower the sixth string into two tones (E -> D -> C).
- The first string should be tuned as it was in the classical system (E), but it could get frustrated while you tuned the other strings, so you'll have to correct it.
- And do not forget to check all the strings in the reverse order afterwards!
- If you take a barre on the second fret, it will be D, on the fourth fret - E, on the fifth - F and so on.
